We all have the ability to change the world. This week, I have been rehearsing with Courtney in Minnesota for our new upcoming Letters From Home Vietnam show. It’s been an incredible creative process developing these new genres of shows over the past few weeks. After rehearsal one evening, I had the pleasure of watching “The Greatest Showman” for the first time. Watching the story was so incredibly inspiring. The film was very loosely based off the story of PT Barnum, and how he took people and things that were considered “freaks” and “outcasts” to most of the world and put them in the spotlight to be celebrated. The naysayers were strong in his world, but he never let them get him down. Through it all he believed he could make the life he always wanted and change the world at the same time, and he did. Whatever your personal thoughts are on PT Barnum, there’s no doubt that he changed the world, and his legacy lives on, even today. I truly believe every human is capable of anything they can imagine. In my travels, I have seen so many incredible creations in all formats: businesses, art, theatrical performances, songs, dances, charitable organizations…. and the one common factor in all of the people that create these things is faith. Faith in YOURSELF.
You have been given one life to live…. And it’s up to you what you do with it. It’s your duty to realize your greatness. If you have a creative idea in your head but aren’t sure if it will make a difference… try it anyway. It normally takes many failures before an enormous success, but with every failure you increase your chances of making it drastically. It’s your obligation to make the most of your life. Be happy. Help others. Realize your greatness. I believe in you. You should too.
